P.R.I.D.E. Training

What is it?

P.R.I.D.E. (Parent Resources for Information Development and Education) is a 27 hour training program that all adoptive applicants and prospective foster parents must take. It covers a variety of topics that provide useful information about adoption legislation, adoption issues and about parenting an adopted or foster child.

Where to get the P.R.I.D.E. Training

Some of the nearest trainings are listed on the Events page or for a complete list of upcoming trainings visit www.adoptontario.ca. There is a fee for training unless you attend a course through your local child welfare agency, which is sometimes an option in the case of a public domestic adoption.
